Duty to Country

Here we go! These boys had just finally served their food up, when they were called away to do their "duty to God and their country"

Scout Salute! What a beautiful sight, look at the wind blow that flag!

Saying the pledge, with about 100 people looking on.

Great job Tristan, you passed off a requirement, and made us all proud.

Sarah- 4th of July Birthday Party

With Grandma Bonnie, getting ready to celebrate her birthday!

Graciously sharing a birthday party, cake and hug with Tyler. Half the cake is pink for her, the other , yellow for him.

Best friend Morgan, is like a sister to all my kids, and like my second daughter. It would not be a party without her.

Sarah made this balnket with Grandma Bonnie and she finally gets to have it!

Aunt Nicky made this cool fold out scrapbook for Sarah, she will have fun decorating it.

Tyler at the Lake!

Tyler, waist deep and getting braver. Searching for crawdads.

Finally, he found one without Tristan's help. Yeah!

Now, is he brave enough to touch it?

Of course! Very proud that he did it all by himself!

He found two, and the one on the right was holding a stick in its claw (look closely). So he and Ponka fashioned a shield out of a lid to make them into dueling crawdads.

Tristan in July!

Last day of school with his most amazing teacher! He really loves her!

Crawdadding at the lake, with the new nets from Ponka. Tristan on the left, Tyler on the right.

Tristan taught this kid how to properly pick up a crawdad, he was so patient and helped the boy get over his fears. He will be a great daddy some day.

Tristan just lost his two front teeth last week, he even pulled them both by himself!

Love that toothless grin!

Love those crawdads!

I'm 6 months behind-here are some fun moments

Christmas at grandparents, Tyler could not resist the pot of cookies.

New Years Eve! 10 degrees below zero and Sarahs best friend Morgan is wearing flip flop slippers, out to do midnight fireworks.

This is just a monkey I drew after seeing a picture of it in the National Geographic.

My dad gave my boys some fun construction bandanas. Notice this one says,

"No Parking Any Time" Well Tyler has this car taped to his head and started yelling

"He's breaking the law, He's breaking the law!"

Tristan prides himself on his strength. He is pure muscle.

He is proud of his little "8pack"

Halloween was a blast! Ty was a clown, and he even picked out and planned everything he wanted for his costume.

Tristan was a vampire, and knew how to play the part perfectly. Although all he wanted to drink was sugar.

Sarah was Tristans vampire sister, Scary!
I spent two hours before school on make up,
then had to reapply before the big night. Can you say numb buns?

This year our fall leaves would only be changing color for a few days, due to the drought, so we went up to the mountain on a hike. We each found a good walking stick too!

These are my little mighty men. They both weighed exactly 42 lbs. when this picture was taken.

Tristan and Tyler, Best Buddies!

Okay these are all from about 4 years ago.
I just love how my boys get along so well between all their fights!
Here, they devour their food together.

Tyler has always had to pull everything apart to see how it is made.

This is the "Angels in White" picture before church one Sunday.

Although I doubt the white lasted long.

Two and three years old in this one.

Grandma Clydene, who works in Dentistry, will be very proud.

The T.V. wasn't even on- They were just sitting here talking!

2 Cutthroat Trout-almost 15 inches each-Delicious. My dad caught one and I fought the other. When I was younger, this alone would have made me vomit. Now I am okay with it, but Sarah has the real advantage. Check her out!

This is my dad (Ponka) and Sarah scaling and filleting together.

Wow, does anybody see the resemblance?

I say gross! Sarah says Cool! However we failed to obtain the fishes opinion.

Scaling on the right. Filleting on the left.

Sarah can handle just about any task, but is not yet willing to fillet.

She says "Working with a dead body is not my thing, at least cutting it open anyway."

Here she is with our dinner! Now a little seasoning and lemon juice, then a little heat.

Bye Bye Fishie!

More Fishing Fun!

Freezing in the early morning sunrise. Warming up over the gas stove.

Just a jacket? Look closely, those are Sarah's feet hanging out!

It was not even windy yet, or cold and all three kids just bundled up on their chairs and sat in total peace and quiet. Now can you see why I love fishing!

Not just a blanket either! Ty says this look like a snail shell.

It is really just Tyler hanging out, cuddling with himself!

Peek-A-Boo I see Blue, eyes that is.

Ty peeks out to ensure that I took his picture.

Tristan could not stop smiling all day.
Even when he was hiding out, he had a great spirit about him.

New School Year- First Day Back!

Pictures on the stairs have been required for each new school year. Tristan told me he had figured out the most flattering way for a man to stand. He then posed just like this. He also said he had been trying to teach Tyler, but felt Ty had some work to do.
Tyler is in fact still practicing, as he only wants to be as cool as Tristan.

Sarah is FINALLY taking an interest in fixing her hair, she also has fallen in love with wearing heels. I'll put a picture of those up soon.

Here they are, ready for 6th, 2nd, and 1st grade.

This is one of my favorites.
